Isha Liu

When I was a little girl…..wait, that story will be too long.

I am a proud mom of two little humans, a wife of a botanist (who has a phD but his five-year-old offspring knows more about flowers than him).

I received training in Floral Design Program from New York Botanical Garden, NYC and in the process to earn my CFD® (Certified Floral Designer, expected June 2023) from AIFD® (American Institution of Floral Designers).

I love wildflower-garden style, focusing on local, seasonal flowers and harvesting (with my two little helpers) wildflowers and greenery from the fields to make airy, bohemian and romantic bouquets. I enjoy Dutch masters style, using diverse varieties of flowers, fruit and seed pods, even imperfect, insect-bitten organic flowers and leaves just to show how magnificent nature is! I love modern, Ikebana-inspired style, clean shapes with the best quality blooms and meticulous, creative floristry work. I love floristry. I love flowers.

I am from Taipei, Taiwan. My family lives in misty mountains where orchids and Camellia bloom.

Our star florists

See how well they worked on this early-spring hand-tie spiral bouquets with Daffodil ‘Marieke’ and Tulip ‘Apricot Parrot‘?

We grew together.

We grow together.

Ithaca Farmer’s Market

“How fun! You grew all these tulips with your kids?”

The truth is: My four-year-old pretended he was a squirrel and dug out lots of bulbs, while the two-year-old kept scaring us by saying “I’m eating all your bulbs!“, and she was munching something that we couldn’t identify…
